Practical guidelines on animal welfare in extensive and conservation-oriented grazing systems, developed in Germany with contributions from Bunde Wischen and other partners and published by Naturstiftung David and the German Veterinary Association for Animal Welfare (TVT), are now available in English.
The guidelines address the particular challenges of keeping cattle and horses in extensive, often year-round grazing systems and provide practical recommendations for ensuring animal welfare under these conditions. The English edition makes this practical experience and guidance accessible to a wider European audience and aims to encourage exchange on animal welfare approaches across different grazing systems and countries.
