Building a European network for conservation grazing at SERE 2026

Conservation grazing was on the agenda at SERE 2026, the European Conference on Ecological Restoration, held in Brest, France. The Conservation Grazing Network Europe project and its ConGrazeNet Forum were presented as part of the special session “Grazing as a Conservation and Restoration Tool”.

The session brought together researchers and practitioners to share knowledge and experience on the role of grazing in biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen connections between people working with conservation grazing across Europe – an exchange that is closely aligned with EFNCP’s long-standing aim of bringing together nature conservation, pastoral farming and practical land management.
