Southern Black Forest
A relict of former farming systems still exists in the Southern Black Forest in the form of commonage.
These commons (“Allmendweiden”) are a unique contribution to the German cultural and ecological heritage and are the only systems in Central Europe which have survived all agricultural reforms of the last centuries.
